GoldSim Risk Analysis and Simulation Software Product Summary GoldSim is a powerful and flexible platform for visualizing and dynamically simulating nearly any kind of physical, financial or organizational system. You build a model in an intuitive manner by literally drawing a picture (an influence diagram) of your system. In a sense, GoldSim is like a "visual spreadsheet" that allows you to graphically create and manipulate data and equations. The GoldSim product line includes the following: GoldSim Pro is the commercial version of GoldSim and provides all the basic functionality needed by commercial users to build powerful, full-featured GoldSim models for business, scientific, and engineering applications. GoldSim Research is offered at a reduced price to faculty and students at academic institutions for academic research projects. GoldSim Research is not intended for use by private or government-sponsored research laboratories and institutions. GoldSim Research includes all of the features provided by GoldSim Pro with no limitations. GoldSim Academic is offered free to academic users (i.e., students, professors, and teachers) for teaching and non-supported student research projects. GoldSim Academic includes all of the features provided by GoldSim Pro but is limited to models with less than 500 elements. GoldSim Player is a free download that allows anyone to view, navigate, and run GoldSim models. As a result, GoldSim Pro users are allowed to share their models with people who don’t have GoldSim Pro or GoldSim Academic. GoldSim Player does not allow users to create new models or edit existing models. GoldSim software is built using a modular framework that allows each user to customize their GoldSim package to provide exactly the functionality they need. Various modules provide additional features or specialized functionality for particular applications.
